In addition to different types of loans for project financing and because of EIB's interest in developing local industries in various ways, the Bank takes equity participation in selected existing and new projects that have been proved to be economically and financially feasible. Such equity participation may be accompanied by loan financing as well. EIB is keenly interested in developing new projects and ensuring their successful implementation. The purpose of this activity is meant to achieve one of the most important objectives of the Bank, whose aim is to encourage the private sector and to attract new investment in the industrial sector.
