In addition to preparing full feasibility studies EIB also prepares marketing studies for industrial projects. These studies relate to all the marketing aspects of the project's output. Such studies enable investors to decide whether to proceed with the implementation of a project or not. In conducting these studies, EIB takes into account both the local and regional markets of the Gulf, as well as exports to countries and regions elsewhere. EIB makes a distinction between projects geared primarily for export and projects that substitute for imports as these provide important indicators in this area.
